Matt Sarnes, PharmD is SVP of Biopharma Services Strategy at AmerisourceBergen. Mr. Sarnes role focuses on helping manufacturers develop innovative strategies and tactics to overcome barriers to product access. The goal of the commercial consulting practice is to use our market access and reimbursement expertise to improve global health.
In the last 15-plus years, Mr. Sarnes led commercialization strategies for both new and in-line products across several therapeutic areas. Mr. Sarnes has broad experience in therapeutics — from cardiovascular, diabetes, and infectious diseases to multiple sclerosis, oncology, orphan diseases, and rheumatology. He describes himself as fortunate enough to be able to apply his skills and experience to the healthcare industry’s biggest challenges: market access, health economics, reimbursement, quality improvement, marketing, and distribution strategy.
Mr. Sarnes has been proud to represent Xcenda’s thought leadership at numerous healthcare conferences including the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy’s Educational Forum and Armada Specialty Pharmacy Summit, and American College of Clinical Pharmacy. He has had the opportunity to share insights through industry publications and authored more than 50 scientific articles as well as book chapters on healthcare technology valuation.
Mr. Sarnes received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh, and my post-doctoral training in ambulatory care and outcomes research from Healthcore, Inc. and the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
